Former Abia State Governor and President of SLOK group has been annouced as the new interim president of World ShipOwners' Association (WSA)
The billionaire will be the President of the association until 2017 when an election will be conducted at the proposed Marine Conference scheduled for Greece.
In a press statement released by WSA’s interim Director of Strategy and Communications, Isaac
Marshall, the efforts of stakeholders in promoting regional and international co-operation among various national and regional bodies was recognized.
“Today, we are excited to announce the birth of the much-awaited international co-operation among players in the maritime industry. WSA is now a reality with a resolve to sustain the interests of ship owners in order to serve the global economy in an atmosphere of healthy business competition to the advantage of consumers and stakeholders.
