Angelina Jolie may be one of the biggest stars in the
world, but that doesn’t make her a diva. The 40 year-old happily wheeled
her own suitcase as she arrived into LAX airport, with the four eldest
of her 6 children. Angelina was joined by Maddox (14) Pax (11) Zahara
(10) and 9 year-old Shiloh, and the kids all wore their own backpacks.
Not seen were the actress’s husband Brad Pitt and their
7 year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. While the famous family own a private jet, they decided to fly on a commercial airline and were seen strolling out of the terminal with all their luggage, alongside everybody else. Angelina picked one of her go-to looks – a simple but stylish all-black ensemble.
The Oscar winner sported a long-sleeved top tucked into tapered trousers, and had kept her feet comfortable for the long journey in Everlane loafers. Angelina tied her long, chestnut brown locks into a ponytail and appeared to be make-up free under her oversized glasses. The star’s children were all dressed in comfortable, casual clothing.
Angelina, Brad and their youngsters were in Cambodia earlier this month, which is Maddox’s birth place. The family were spotted in Siem Reap, researching locations for Angelina’s upcoming Netflix movie First They Killed My Father, which she co-wrote and will direct. Maddox himself will be heavily involved in the production of the film – a deliberate attempt by his mother to ensure he connects with the country of his birth.
‘As Maddox and I prepare the film we will be side by side learning about his country,’ Jolie explained earlier this year. ‘He is 14 and this is a very important time for him to understand who he is. He is my son but he is also a son of Cambodia.
‘This is the time for our family to understand all that that means to him and to us.‘ The mother-of-six chose as her subject for the new movie a harrowing memoir by Cambodian human rights activist Loung Ung First.
