The Winter Soldier has reverted to being plain old Bucky
Barnes and all should be well in the world of the Avengers. Instead,
it’s been ripped apart by a superhero civil war that
pits Avenger against Avenger.
In the first trailer of Captain America: Civil War, Steve Rogers finds himself in an impossible situation – he’s got one friend back but made an enemy out of two others. His former allies Natasha Romanoff/The Black Widow and Tony Stark/Iron Man are in hot pursuit as, once again, Cap goes on the run. On his side are Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye and, of course, the resurrected Bucky.
‘Divided We Fall’ read the taglines:
The working title of the film was Captain America: Serpent Society initially and was later changed to Civil War. It is the first of Marvel’s recently declared line-up for its third phase which starts in May 2016 and will see the release of not one, not two but nine films by May 2019.
These films will see the introduction of some new characters from the Marvel Universe like Doctor Strange, Black Panther and Inhumans. Fun times ahead for the Marvel fans.
Captain America: Civil War stars a mega-cast of returning Avengers and associates. Reprising their roles as Chris Evans as Cap, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Elizabeth Olson as Scarlet Witch, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Paul Bettany as The Vision. Paul Rudd, who starred as Ant-Man, joins the Avengers in this film and additions to the cast include Tom Holland as Spider-Man and William Hurt as the US Secretary of State.
