Chiwetel Ejiofor was awarded an OBE in 2008, and he now added CBE to his list.The 12 Years A Slave actor was made a ‘Commander of the
Order of the British Empire’ (CBE) by the Duke of Cambridge during an official ceremony held at Buckingham Palace in London this morning, Tuesday, October 27.
The 38 year-old star overcame the emotion as he spoke to Prince William in front of the large crowd assembled, beaming with pride as he was recognized for his services to drama.
Ejiofor grew up in north London, has an illustrious career, receiving an Oscar nomination and winning a BAFTA in 2013 for his moving performance in 12 Years A Slave.
